Choosing the right editor is one of the most important decisions you will make. The wrong editor could be more harmful than having no editor at all. This is why I live by three key editing rules:

  1. Do no harm. The Hippocratic oath of editing.
  2. You are unique. No one else can write your story.
  3. Art and science. Editing is a delicate blend of the technical and the creative and sometimes the creative wins.

Reviews

Victoria Bley, Historical Fiction Author

“But Nikki’s my friend, her wickedly funny sci-fi makes me laugh, and we clown around together on the ethernet about writing and other matters. Plus, I trust her judgement. Curiosity won out over writer’s ego. Of course you can edit my blog post, I said, and hit send. Like, immediately.” Excerpt from Don’t Dread the Ed

Jenel Alan, Author of Rell

“Jennie is a writer’s best friend. From idea development to copy editing she, with consistent positivity and professionalism, helped me make my work the best it could be.”

Steve Higley, Relator

“What impressed me most about Jennie was her willingness to go the extra mile. She not only listened to my feedback but also made several modifications to ensure that the final product exceeded my expectations. Her dedication to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.”
